We all long for love and intimacy. Warmth and acceptance. Closeness and the twinning of souls.

These three pictures deal with Boredom and indifference. The women seem languid and without animation. The era is the 1920s-30s.

Often life is all about waiting. Waiting for trains, planes, and buses. Waiting for your lover to phone...............

For those of you have a visual eye for pictures and enjoy looking at original art, I'm posting a selection of my paintings for your perusal. The first few paintings are from my Girl Power Exhibition which has been held in venues in England and Wales. Many of my pictures are very large but I have compressed them to the smallest Kb. (All my paintings are copyrighted)

Princess Diana had great power over her subjects. Very few could resist her charm and beauty.............except her husband that is!!

Posh Spice is often depicted as a self conscious and insecure person by an ever attentive and malicious media, but she is the real 'Manager' of her husband David Beckham. It's Posh who advises him on his choice of headbands, face creams and arranges his waxing sessions. He is shown throwing up his hands in dismay after missing a penalty in an important match. Never mind David , you can always rest your head on Posh's bosom!

They called her 'The Iron Lady'. Margaret Thatcher. Our very first female Prime Minister ( and maybe our last!!) She crushed the miners and took on the unions. She introduced the poll tax and took us into the Falklands war. She was responsible for the Americanisation of Great Britain. I don't think we've ever recovered!!!

This is Neo -Condi. Condaleeza Rice. Bush's right hand woman!! No matter what your political views of this woman you have to admire her determination and strength to overcome the prejudice of her race and sex. The spotlight is on her during the current Middle East crisis!!

Tracy Emin. Enfant terrible of the art establishment and famous for her conceptual art. Most recently her love tent with all the names of her lovers written on it and her unmade bed strewn with empty Tampax tubes and cigarette cartons. She seemed to have mesmerised Charles Saatchi into believing she's an artist of some note ('Emperor's New Clothes' springs to mind!!) and paying her huge sums for her 'work'. Interestingly however, the Warehouse that stored these great works of Emins burnt down and her great conceptual 'works' were lost to the public (hopefully for ever!)
